humble heroes: Pyke Pasman

18 januari 2021 By

Pyke Pasman is a keyboard player, composer and co-founder of the amazing bands Jungle by Night, The Mysterons, Yokari and Fauthaut. Pyke performed over 650 shows in over 25 countries, playing festivals such as Lowlands, Dour, Glastonbury, Fuji Rock, Montreal Jazz and any amazing festival or venue you can imagine all over the whole world. With the band Jungle By Night they did amazing collaborations with people and projects such as Jan Akkerman, The Gaslampkiller, Armand and many more.

Pyke studied keys at the Conservatory of Amsterdam at the pop department. He is well known for his iconic and peculiar keyboard sounds, interesting and complex rhythms, sharp melodies and harmonies. He loves to mix different kind of styles from Indian music to Irish Folk. Nothing is too weird for Pyke. Groovy, enchanting, slightly psychedelic, very mesmerizing and a willful mind that sounds like Pyke Pasman.

Besides playing in bands he is involved with organizing festivals and events such as the Felabration Festival. And on top of that Pyke writes music for film. He composed music for the short film ‘Stuff’ by Malu Janssen. In other words; Pyke is a real all-rounder!
